By filling out the registration for any Battle Formats, you automatically reserve an entry ticket (limited to 200 people) for the Hip Hop Event (Saturday, 10th August). If you haven’t already paid it through a day ticket, you will pay it in cash at the door.

1 VS 1 BATTLE
Top 16 K.O.
This one is all about the call & response and that certain heat that a Battle brings along.
This battle will bring back the original essence of Hip Hop. The presence of grooves, the rock & the bounce, rhythm, and foundational qualities will be key. This theme is supported by the selection of DJs, judges, and battle guests.
As dope as abstract concepts, powermoves, and character are, they are no substitutes for grooves, foundation & flow. We value the necessary balance to dive deep into the style.
GRAND PRIX
Hip Hop & Experimental
In this format, the dancers capabilities of building connections, adapting to different characters, and developing genuine trust come into competition. Establishing a deep, symbiotic relationship is the main goal.
Not only does this format replace ego with unity, but it allows exciting comebacks throughout the 3 rounds
CYPHER GAMES
HIP HOP
This Concept brings the codes of cyphers back into focus, empathising on the exchange and the common thread. It’s not meant to replace real, naturally developed cyphers, but to enrich the festival with another format and help to educate new people in the scene about its unwritten rules.
Note that this format is not intended to be a scientifically optimal setting to let the best overall dancer win. There are some aspects of chance: which one of the first cyphers you land in, if the topic suits you, at what point you enter it, and so on…
If battles are chess, this is more like poker. You might have a better or worse hand than the other, but it’s the moment that counts.
